Businesses in Little Chelsea have recorded their busiest ever day as a result of the jubilee street party that took place on the 2nd of June 2022 to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
CEO of Your Eastbourne BID Stephen Holt said "In total, we estimate that around 12,000 attended the street party held in Little Chelsea on the 2nd of June. Businesses in the street have reported record sales and it was wonderful to see the community come out, support our local high street and show their love for the Queen!"
Stephen continued "I want to say a huge thanks to all the volunteers who helped on the evening, as well as all of our partners who gave us so much support - East Sussex College Group, Visit Eastbourne, Conference Eastbourne, Eastbourne Borough Council, The Art House, Printers Playhouse, SEL Events, Grove Theatre, Bibendum, The Dolphin, Dew Drop Inn and The Eagle. The team worked so hard, and it is incredibly rewarding to see the succees."
Grove Road Cards added "Grove Road cards would like to thank Eastbourne Bid and others including volunteers giving up their bank holiday for making the jubilee party in Grove Road such a success. We had an enjoyable day and a very successful day.”
