Eastbourne came alive on Sunday 17th February 2019 when thousands lined the streets for the first ever Chinese New Year Parade.
Business Development Manager for the Chamber of Commerce and Edeal Enterprise Agency Stephen Holt said “We have been working on this event for over two years. It’s exactly the sort of activity that could be supported by a Business Improvement District. Already traders are reporting some of their best ever sales, with one retailer telling me that they were 40% up on last year”.
Stephen continued “My huge thanks to all those who supported this year’s parade, including the wonderful Eastbourne & District Chinese Association, Edeal town centre management, Victoria Baptist Church, the great team at Devonshire West Big Local and of course all our wonderful Dragon Dancers.
